RASUTIN Pregnant Mares Highly recommended for maiden mares. An aqueous infusion of raspberry leaf for helping relax the uterine muscle in pregnant mares before parturition. Raspberry Leaf Raspberry wine, brewed from the fermented juices of the ripe berries has been used to dissolve tartar on teeth. In 1998, Blumenthal, and in 1999 Fentrow and Avila observed that infusions from the leaves appeared to lower blood glucose levels in animals and ease childbirth related muscle spasms and morning sickness. They also observed beneficial effects in children for colds, sore throats and diarrhea. Raspberry Leaf and the Horse Rasutin is formulated primarily for the maiden mare to help at the time of parturition. It helps tone the uterine muscles, may reduce the risk of hemorrhage, helps strengthen the contractions and post parturition conditioning. Rasutin may be used with the brood mare, who has a history of difficult foaling. Administer Rasutin 3 months before full term and continue 1 month after parturition. No known side effects or cautions. Active Ingredients: Rasberry Leaf 15 mg per ml
